Every hunter in South Dakota must have a hunting license. In this state, you may require more than one license so it is important to confirm. The minimum age for getting a license is 12 years old. For youth, there is the Youth Small Game License for non-residents (12 to 15 years) and Junior Combination License (16 to 18 years) for residents.
Hunters eligible for reduced-fee licenses include those with disabilities, military/veterans, senior residents and the youth.
Visit the South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks website for more information and to get your license. You can also find a licensing office or vendor.
