In Connecticut, hunters above the age of 12 are eligible for a hunting license. The state requires you to take a firearms course and conservation education course. Even with a license, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a qualified adult.
Senior citizens can purchase a lifetime hunting license—this is not available to any other hunters. There are also special licenses for military members, people with disabilities, seniors and youth.
