The hunting requirements in Missouri are a little different from those in other states. To hunt in this state, you need to complete the hunter certification and obtain a hunter-education card. You should have this card on you, together with the appropriate permit, whenever you are hunting.
Those exempted from this requirement include: youth under the age of 16, seniors, people with a disability exemption and landowners.
There is another exemption for those who are 16 years and older. They may hunt without being certified as long as they are with a permitted adult.
For the appropriate permits, look for an approved permit vendor near you or go to the conservation department’s website.
