The minimum age for getting a hunting license in New Jersey is 10 years for both residents and non-residents. According to the law, you should display the license openly at the back of your outer clothing whenever you are hunting.

The state has a number of special permits and licenses for the following groups: farmers, youth, military, disabled veterans and fishing buddies. Apprentice licenses are also available.
